Looks like if I want to go see Over the Hedge i better get moving. Won't be in the theaters too much longer with sales almost off the top ten.

But yet I haven't seen an Invoncienent Truth yet, which isn't even in the top 10!

Decesions decesions....

I've only seen a few movies this year, but enjoyed them all.

V for Vendetta
Hard Candy
Thank You For Smoking
X-Men 3

In that order of preference.

It's interesting that the previous week's thread had someone suggesting that Cars was going to come in third - I think this week's movies ended up being really weak.

What's with 'The Lake House' anyway? I don't think I noticed any advertisements for it until about two weeks before it came out - was that just my tunnel vision, or did this movie get hidden?

Lake House just came under the wire, no big push.

Lake house is a date movie. Sandra bullock and matrix guy live in same house 2 years apart 2004 2006 and send letters to each other by a magic mailbox.

Oh, yeah, sorry. I know what the movie is about - I was just surprised that the movie didn't get more advertising and a larger push before the movie came out.

Cars was awesome. Critics had disliked the fact that they could predict the plot, but _man_ was the ride there great.

Also -- stay through the credits.

Not in wide release, art house movies start very small and build audience over time. Hollywood flicks work the other way around, starting big and dwindling out. I think "truth" is up to over 700 screens now.

Just saw it yesterday.

I love the spoof on the other films at the end. The whole thing with the one actor pointing out all his roles was funny too.

I highly recommend seeing this film. Very informative, and scary when you think about it.

The problem is, it's not in a lot of movie theaters. It is limited distribution, so it's not going to get the big numbers.
