Thats the only style of underwear my wife wears. She tells me they are perfectly comfortable, and I'm glad for it.

And if your clothes are so tight you need to worry about panty lines, then you need to buy a bigger size.

My wife wears thongs under her spandex shorts when she works out, goes running, or coaches volleyball. I shudder to think what size shorts she'd have to buy for spandex to hang loose....

She wears regular underwear to work/elsewhere. No wedgie complaints that I've heard.

Seriously though, how do you get used to it? I get irritated if my underwear starts to ride up, I couldn't imagine something being up there all the time. Does it get uncomfortable at times or does it just become unnoticed?

Wearing boxer shorts is a typical American thing, although they came also to Europe during the last two decades. The typical underpants I was wearing during the 80's and later were only slightly larger than a thong. Most people wore those. I don't like boxers, because I feel like sweating uncomfortably in those. I suppose it's just a matter of what you are used to.

Edit: And I noticed that I had to buy new swimwear when I came here .

Thongs are popular and mainstream now so I guess they are at least moderately comfortable. What I want to know is how uncomfortable... freaking painful... a brazilian wax is.
