Thoughts on my 30th birthday

How about that I was planning to go to Vegas but I don't think I'll have the money. Do you guys advise doing something special to mark to day or just let it pass on by?

depends on what you like to do and if you can get a bunch of friends. But then mine happened on a day we got over a foot of snow and ice and the roads were closed so nothing was going to happen even if I had had plans......

Gaming, of course. :D

I once talked a DM into giving my character a Dragon Orb for my birthday. It helped that it was on my birthday we chose to game.

This was a 2nd ed Dragon Orb an not the sorry 3rd ed one. I wish I got to use it, the game ended not long after.

Now that it's come and gone I have to say that I don't feel any different. Just another day (er, a day on which I happen to get some gifts!). Thanks for the birthday wishes folks.

30 rocks. It's good to be mature... and have time, energy & money enough for fun.

Hey Nifft, what happens when you're like me... almost 30, not quite mature, and lack time, energy and money to have fun? :uhoh:

Heck, I had all that stuff back when I was in my late teens, early 20's... I guess it's true what they say about burning the candle at both ends... *wistful sigh*
