Okay, this question is purely meant as a joke and to give someone a laugh. It is not meant to be irritating, so if it does upset someone, I'm sorry.



But ... Assuming that 4E is actually announced, does that mean that we're going to get a new thread category in the General Forum entitled 5E?



Because, you know, ENWorld just won't be the same without a category to indicate people aren't happy with the current edition, they're looking for a new edition, the sky is falling, and all that ...

It is much too soon for a 5e thread. Lets at least wait until we get the preview books in December and January, then there will be something substantial to gripe about.

Of course I have heard that 4.5e is already in the works.

hmm, let's see, if i've got my numbers right...

1E lasted about 12 years
2E lasted about 10 years
3E lasted about 8 years...
so, in 2014 we should expect to see 4E!
