Threat on a 3 or better?

What about making him a Weapon Master? You should be sort of close to it with just the base creature. Take a few fighter levels to get the rest of the needed feats.

Hm, not a bad idea. The only catch is that I've built them to take advantage of a certain feat chain... don't know if I can make it work, but I'll look at it, that's for sure!

Thanks!

Let me know how it went.

The Tarrasque has agumented crit with a range of 18-20.
Normal claws/bites/gores ect have a threat range of 20.

Seems to me it triples the threat range alright

See above about the nightmare beast.

To quote from the description- "Unlike most constructs, a nimblewright is created with intelligence and a distinct personality that allows for intuitive thinking and responsiveness." I'd say that's a yes.

Actually you need to look at how the creature in question advances. In this case it advances by Hitdice, not character level so you wouldn't be able to add fighter levels.

Eh? You sure about that?

Well as a DM you can do anything you want by encorporating any house rules you like; but looking at the Advancement entry tells you how to make more/less powerful versions of a creature. Otherwise every entry in the MM would have a HD advancement entry. Why exactly would you specific certain monsters to advance by character class, and others by HD.

Because all creatures that are intelligent can advance by character class. Not all creatures can adance by Hit Dice. Most Huanoids, for instance, can't gain hit dice as Orcs or Goblins, because the base stats for the creature is based on one level of Warrior.

True, but pretty irrelevant in a rules discussion.

Okay I'll bite on this one. Where does it state what the minimum intelligence is to have a character class?
