The simplest way to succeed at a DC 50 Str check is to use a psion with the Pyschofeedback power which, IIRC, allows you to raise your Strength by 1 point per PSP expended. At 15th level, a psion has 100 PSPs. Even without bonus PSPs for high ability scores, that's enough to give him a +50 bonus to Str checks, enabling him to break through 3 feet of stone with ease. Of course, he's then pretty much useless for the rest of the day.

I have read this thread too fast...

is everyone including thrice empowered Bull's Strength in their calculations? that would be a max of 12 to your str, right?

could an incantrix 7 times empower a bulls str? that would be what +22 to str?

anyway, like i said, i read fast, i might even have remembered the incantrix class abilities wrong...

Unfortunately Bull's strength does not stack, nor does it stack with the strength domain, they are both enchantment bonus, and as we all know those don't stack.

Fair enough, I guess my more general question is there a way to use Bulls Str to gain a greater enhancement bonuse to STR than from the STRENGTH domain?

again, this is interesting. Using bulls strength, the max that one can get is a +5. Using your strength domain ability, it says that you use all of your levels, not just your class levels, so no matter what at 20th level, you can achieve the +20 for one round, once perday. the Mighty Contender of Kord allows you to double this, and then you start adding in the other mods that you can get.

I just realized we might be wrong completely. If the strength domain ability is only a class skill, then it is really hard to do it. You might still be able to, if you use the Mighty Contender of Kord Prestige Class. If it truly allows you to add your levels for the class, and doubles the power, then you would be able to have a 74 str with 10 levels of cleric, 10 levels of Mighty Contender. giving you a bonus of +40 to your strength with the ability, with the already 20 base, +5 book, +5 levels..., hmm, maybe you couldn't do it then at all. Bull's strength doesn't stack, so it would be a base of 70. you would have to roll a 20 to do it. but if you were a first level bar. and then 19 levels of the cleric, MC, you could get it up to 72.
