I love how some of the comments were dissing that guy. Its like people forgot that rock music is suposed to be over-the-top and fileld with skill based showmanship (and not only make-up and costume based extravagance). Hell that's why Rockband and Guitar Hero has "Star Power."

I liked the guy's performance. He obviously knows that part of performing is entertaining, and he's doing both.

FWIW, the comment about Jerry Gaskill of King's X being a beast on the skins is absolutely correct. I've seen that band a half-dozen times- once, he nearly wrecked his drum kit by playing it with vigor, not actually trying to wreck it like some guys do.

Plus ZZ is simple enough it allows you to do more showmanship than other tunes. Not all of us are Eric Singer types who can play intricate beats and put on a great show.

I sent this to my fam a week or two ago, and we all agreed; the drummer saved a rather prosaic cover band from painful mediocrity. He was the best part of the show.

I guess maybe that's what they mean by him being at the wrong gig; he's too good for that band?

Besides, turning "Sharp Dressed Man" into something as boring as that performance would have been without the drummer? That takes some real skill. :\

Sharp Dressed Man is such a basic song it would fit well in Bachman Turner Overdrive catalog. Give it some 'tude and it's a Ramones song. It's that simple.
