This is one of those things best saved for when you need to one-shot a creature that has been made easy to hit by being immobilized and so forth, so that it can't get any reactionary abilities off.

Now add a few feats: weapon focus (heavy blades) and fiery rebuke. On the next attack roll, he will add to damage:

4 (Str)
4 (Channel Divinity)
4 (Infernal Wrath)
4 (Wrath of the Gods)
3 (Enhancement)
2 (Weapon Focus)
1 (Versatile)
10 (Fiery Rebuke)

for a total of +32 damage. Combine this with a power like Martyr's Retribution and this becomes 4d10+32 damage. At 13th level, grab Radiant Charge, and squeeze in the Powerful Charge feat, and you've got 3d10+34 damage.

Blimey. Bookkeeping is definitely not gone then. It looks like bonuses have just shifted from attack to damage. Is this really the case?

Math damage from players is fine. It's when the DM has to deal with too much of it that it's a problem.

If you want to see some fun synergies, look up the various Ice-related feats they've been showing.

+6 damage and combat advantage oh yes please.

Also, I thought the x1.5 Str bonus to damage for 2-handed weapons was gone in 4E.
Versatile weapons do a flat +1 damage if used 2 handed. And yeah fiery rebuke is decent, keep in mind tho that a dragonborn gets a close blast 5 breath weapon that eventually hits for 3d10 + stat mod as a minor action (if feated up).

Tiefling isn't horrible, its just a whole lot more niche than the other races.
