D&D 5E Tiefling preview!

Just curious why Tieflings have to be evil. Yes they have demon blood, but why can't one struggle against that and follow the path of righteousness?

I don't have my books with me, but I don't believe anything in the PHB says they "have" to be evil.

Hi, RoseNDagger! Welcome to EnWorld. The answer is: they don't have to be. And most tables view alignment suggestions as just that: suggestions. Order of the Stick cracked wise about how every drow is actually a good-natured rebel against their own society. So it is at my gaming table: tieflings are predominately evil, just not the player's tieflings.

Also, as a suggestion, avoid clicking on the "similar threads" at the bottom of the pages here at EnWorld; they usually lead to old, dead convos like this one and it places you in danger of necromancing an old thread.
