Tillich is a small village along the Oderfen River, in North-Eastern Mittendein on the frontier. The village currently exists to support the construction of Castle Krieghelm, which is being built to control the only ford across the river for a large section of the frontier.

The original stone-walled village was some hours to the south along the river, but was destroyed by an army of goblins. The rubble remains to this day.

The castle is named after Magnus Krieghelm, a brave adventurer who held up the goblin army at the ford long enough for his companions to flee to the city and warn them, ahead of the approaching goblin army. His sacrifice is honored in the naming of the new castle, built on the very spot of his death in point of fact.

Frost Giants have taken up along the north bank of the Oderfen River, some mere miles from Tillich according to rumors.

EDIT: At least 2-3 days out by foot.

About 5 miles north of new Tillich on the east side of the river are a series of small encampments, nestled among whatever forests and clusters of trees are near the river bank. They are mouldy and old, the site of some ancient massacre. Some say the undead rise to take vengeance on the living, there, but of course, that's just local rumors. Right?

In the village, the Foreman of the day hands out assignments to everyone working on the village and castle, and has missions to assign adventurers. These missions range from ambushes to recon patrols to the tracking of particularly hostile animals like bears.
