Sorry, I accidentally put this in the wrong forum before. Here we go, let's try this again.

Have any of you geniuses actually bothered to read the errata?

All of you guys saying you can cast Magic Weapon and Greater Magic Weapon on unarmed strikes are WRONG!

IT'S IN THE OFFICIAL ERRATA!

Sheesh . . . All that bickering over something so stupid, and you didn't bother to read the OFFICIAL ERRATA.

I'll quote it for ya':

"You can't cast this spell on a natural weapon such as unarmed strike."

How hard was that? I would have posted this on the other thread to end that stupid debate, but it got locked before I got there. Now that the point has been proven that it is NOT allowed to be cast on natural weapons, I think you need to sit back and think about all that stupidity.

Thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart. Please come again.

I know that, but some people debated over two pages about it and got into a flame war because of the debate of Magic Weapon and whether it works on unarmed strike and natural weapons. It got locked because of the flaming before I could post this very simple fact, so I'm posting it now for them all to see.

(Blink, blink)
That was a little hostile, wasn't it? I feel like I've been pummeled with Magic Weapon-enhanced fists.

I posted it in the locked thread as well. The flaming continued unabated after that. Oh, well. I was one of the ones arguing that the wording of the spell, and the ambiguity of what constituted a weapon in what situation made it possible.

Then I read through the errata and clarifications. Live and learn.

Also, the original question in that thread had to do with casting MW or GMW on Bracers of Striking. It got a little off-topic, but that point wasn't completely resolved. There was a quote about them being treated like Blunt Weapons for purposes of enhancement magic, so that lends credence to it.

Oh. Well, then, I can understand it being cast on the Bracers of Striking.

Considering how they can be enchanted ala a weapon, as well as special things applying to unarmed attacks, I don't see the problem with it. But that's JUST with bracers of striking.

I didn't see that thread, but I'd like to point out that, as a general rule, it's not a good idea to re-open topics that degenerated into a flamewar that had to be locked.

Well, for such a brilliant guy, it took you nearly 3 days to look it up.

So, I will quote you:

Sheesh

That's what you gotta love about these boards (not). There is always someone bitching about someone else's bitching. :)

Who is flaming now.

It is not in the errata, it is in the corrections and clarifications version 2.

I do not think I was the only one, who did not realise that there was a newer version of this.
