Actually, I only came in on it today, and I had to go to work, so just shut your mouth. I looked it up when I got the time.

At least I DID look it up, unlike most other people.

The point was that you did not have to take the sarcastic tone that you did pointing out how terrible other people were and how wonderful you were.

A simple:

The PHB errata states:

"You can't cast this spell on a natural weapon such as unarmed strike."

would have sufficed without the trainload of crap that you brought with it.

Brass Knuckles. :D

Actually that, or an actual Cestus, is also a viable means of giving magic weapon status to a monk's "unarmed attacks", both for bulding magic weapons, and for GMW purposes.

I believe there was an actual oriental weapon, the "orchid" IIRC, of similar nature -- you (carefully) slid your hand into what looks like a ball of bladed-pain-and-death, gripped the handle, and punched (etc) away. That should count as a Monk Weapon at the very least, and IMO rather than have it's own damage die, it should have a modifier to the monk's punches (wider critical range perhaps, or a flat +1 or +2 to damage (depending on the monk's size), or so on). Might make it an exotic weapon, for balance purposes -- and I mean, exotic for monks, too. 8)

... as a general rule, it's not a good idea to re-open topics that degenerated into a flamewar that had to be locked.
Absolutely correct.

Further: Anubis, please make do without the rudeness in the future. Thanks.
