The original, full power instrument is @$7000.
In contrast, the App is a surprisingly powerful synthesizer in its own right, too, capable of many of the stunts the full-sized instrument can do, just at a lower volume and increased portability. And it is only $9.95. With just a bit of messing around, I've been able to generate Dr. Who theme- like tones, arrays that sound like the incidental music from a chase in a Sci-Fi action flick, and figure out how to manipulate the microphone input to make "Atomic Mutant Ant" sounds...and even some hands-off, theremin-style effects.
Lots of fun!
