To Catch a Crimelord, or Down the Rabbit Hole (garyh judging)

[sblock=OOC]
A second later his skin elongates as he becomes taller and a human is standing where the dwarf was a moment ago. "So you've traveled all this way to stop me, why? I hired you, paid you handsomely and your demonstration of gratitude is to assault my holdings in Daunton?

Blah blah blah, evil monologue ;)
Well, I think that answers my question :)

I'll delay til after Georg. Going on the assumption that Z33 isn't toast. If Z33 isn't around after Georg's attack I'd like to change plans. [/sblock]
Raiyek sees Georg's outrage and waits just a moment to let the wizard get in front of him, so as not to be caught in the blast.

Once the flames are spent, Raiyek dashes around in front of Georg and unleashes his sword on the two zombies nearby. His sword bites deep into the two zombies and his goddess rewards him with the strength to outlast his enemies.

"By Palladys, we will stop you here and now!" he shouts at the 'priest'.

The zombies ref is 9, so Georg just missed them. Raiyek however hit and killed both of them, 10 THP for you.

Yeah, I figured the evil monologue was enough of a hint ;)

Carolina sprints to the opposite side of the battlefield, ducking between two of the zombies as she goes. She comes to a stop behind a tree, where Mr. X is within range.

[sblock=OOC]Double move to G15, moving between Z61 and Z91. The tree should give cover, yes?

I don't have Carolina's sheet right in front of me, but her AC improves when she's the target of an opportunity attack, so she might make it through with minimal damage.[/sblock]

"Let's do this!" Kruk screams and then races forward with weapon drawn. Heading east he strikes at one foe with a solid hit, then sidesteps, connecting on another one.

No worries Oni. I've been busy this week also, vacation's been great so take your time. I might not be able to get to it until Monday, but I hope maybe tonight while I watch the Red Wings game[/sblock]

Lily pointed at the monologuing villain.

Um...I've never heard of you, but your obviously a jerk and must be stopped!

Moving forward quickly Lily tried to weave around the first zombie in her path and then coming to a halt in front of another one she raised her skull high. A great gout of ghostly spirits erupted from the thing, swirling all around her in a howling mass. They impacted everyone in the area, friend or foe, merging with their forms. To enemies they brought wracking physical pain, to allies a sense of sense of strength and protection.

As the onslaught of spirits began to subside Lily pointed toward the man in plate, Lith, that one! The spirit burbled up from the ground in front of the heavily armoured man.

I'm going to make this easier on myself and delay until everyone else has acted, and I'll roll attack rolls for all but confirmed klls in my AoE even though I'm sure some of them may already be dead.

move: move to G7 (generates an OA from zombie 42). Hope he's a minion... ><

if it hit: Damage (1d8+5=10)
miss: half damage
effect: Until the end of the encounter, Lily and each ally (Georg, Raiyek, and Kruk) in the burst gain regeneration 2 while bloodied. As a minor action, a character can end this effect on himself or herself to regain 11 hit points.

[sblock=Lily's Spirit Primer (Please Read!)]
Spirit companions are complex critters, so this is to remind everyone, myself included, of the important points. The first three items are probably the most relevant to the other players.
  • Any of Lily's allies who start their turn adjacent to her spirit companion can shift 1 square as a free action, as the first action during their turn.
  • Any of Lily's allies adjacent to her spirit companion gain a +3 bonus to their damage rolls against bloodied enemies.
  • Lily's spirit companion occupies 1 square, Lily's allies may move through its space, but her enemies may not.
  • Lily's spirit companion may be targeted by melee and ranged attacks. If a single attack deals 10 or more damage to Lily's spirit companion it disappears and Lily takes 5 damage. Otherwise her spirit companion is unaffected by the attack.
  • Lily's spirit companion uses Lily's defenses.
  • Any enemy that leaves a square adjacent to Lily's spirit companion without shifting is subject its Spirit Fang attack. (This is an opportunity action and so may used once per turn, rather than once per round. Since there is no reason not to take this attack DM please feel free to roll them as necessary.)
  • Lily's spirit companion is unaffected by terrain and environmental phenomena.

Georg seems to come into a rage, wisps of rise from his staff where his hand grab it with white knuckles. Gone is the composed Dwarf you know, replaced with a primal creature. He bellows an ancient Dwarven war cry and moves forward, seemingly heedless of the dangers around him. Only when he stops before the line of zombies is any hint of intelligence visible on his features. He raises his staff and twirls it over his head before thrusting it forward. Fuer!

Fire flows forth from the staff, engulfing three small and the one large zombie to some effect, while the flames do not seem to touch the armored figure.
One of the smaller figures falls under the assault and the larger one takes a minor wound.

Carolina sprints to the opposite side of the battlefield, ducking between two of the zombies as she goes. She comes to a stop behind a tree, where Mr. X is within range. One of the zombies manages a surprising glancing blow against the halfling as she passes.

[sblock=OA]
*Current spot provides cover yes*
OA on Carolina (1d20 6=24) hits for 6 damage even with +5 to AC against OA's (although they can only hit on a 17)[/sblock]

"By Palladys, we will stop you here and now!" he shouts at the 'priest'.

"Let's do this!" Kruk screams and then races forward with weapon drawn. Heading east he strikes at one foe with a solid hit, then sidesteps, connecting on another one, dropping both.

Didn't you use your thundering power in the fight with the zombies/golem?[/sblock]

Wow... the minions have the hot hand tonight - OA on Lily (1d20 6=21) hits for 6[/sblock]

Kadaj (Mr. X) looks at the onslaught as his zombies fall easily to the heroes, unperturbed he points a dagger at Raiyek, "Holy one, you shall be kept as a treat for the dark one, he shall feast on your soul. Your precious Palladys won't be able to save you" he shouts, and from the dagger a black ray shoots out and slams into the paladin. He feels insidious dark energy flow into him and finds his legs won't respond.

"Brutus, Havastav, kill the girl." he directs, pointing to Lily.

The remaining regular zombie tries to obey, but its movements are clumsy and uncoordinated as it nearly trips over the body of its comrade.

The hulking Brutus steps forward, but is slowed by the mud and can't reach Lily so it turns to Raiyek and with a guttural roar unleashes an absolutely devastating overhand smash that knocks Raiyek to the ground and nearly sends him into oblivion.

Havastav, the shadow warrior, looks to Brutus and shrugs, the wounds from Lily's blast healing over as it stares at the creature before it. He winks out of existence, but not before Lilth tries to bite at it, however the warrior is too quick and the spirit's jaws only clamp down on air. It reappears behind Lily, surprising her,
