[sblock=OOC] Awww, can't I forget some of the rolls? Here are Georg's last 11 d20 rolls

IC's just saving the good ones for when you attack Mr. X, then it'll be crit-city for you I'm sure.

Oh, BTW please everyone make sure you have your wishlists updated if you want anything in particular as there's tons of xp from this adventure and I need to make sure you all are appropriately rewarded.

From behind her tree of cover, Carolina leans out and deftly tosses her dagger towards Mr. X. She aims low, hoping to knee-cap him and send him staggering into his own dark flames. The dagger grazes the man, but he turns his gaze to the halfling, and shakes his head, a wide grin across his face as he stops short of the flame.

Raiyek stands back up after the massive blow from Brutus, coughing up some blood and staggering to keep his balance. Still shaky on his feet from Kadaj's attack the paladin can't do more than whisper a prayer to Palladys and try to steel himself for the zombie's next onslaught. "Lily, stay back! Don't give this brute a chance at you," he calls. "We need to take down one of these three quickly before they overwhelm us."

Lily ducked away from the zombie on her flank while Lith launched its amorphous form at the thing called Brutus. Brutus proved to be surprisingly resilient however. Meanwhile Lily called upon the healing powers of the local spirits, trying to undo some of the damage done to Raiyek and herself.

Kruk, seeing that Lily is introuble comes charging to her aide. "Agghhhhh! Move back you best don't even think about harming the girl." His attack tries to push Havastav backwards a step, but the warrior holds strong. Kruk takes advantage of the foes momentary lapse of concentration by unleashing another blow, this one causing great pain to the foe.

Georg catches the wind from the giant zombie's blow at Raiyek. He moves back away from the creature and towards the surrounded Lily. Move back Lily he shouts Back foul shadowspawn. He slams his staff into the ground, sending a thundering roar at the zombie, Havastav and Brutus that flies over all of their heads. He shouts in frustration and tries again, but only catches the zombie.

To help Lily see, his staff ignites with light, you see the shadowy warrior in front of you recoil slightly from the arcane light.

[sblock=john]
I feel your pain, my 3rd PC Ashir has rolled 7 times in the last 2 rounds and 0 were 10 or above...[/sblock]

Kadaj continues to focus on Carolina "Come little one let us see how your spirit stands up to my power" as he gestures to the halfling. She feels herself hurtling through the darkness as the world disappears beyond her vision. Suddenly she's floating in black flames, a large, powerful creature appears to be coming for her, but is stopped by some invisible barrier. It hammers helpless against it, but whatever stops it from entering appears to be weakening.

[sblock=IG]
If you use halfling re-roll, please re-roll the attack yourself (see the link below)[/sblock]

The zombie single-mindedly now focuses on Raiyek, it moves forward, wading into the mud and getting bit by Lilth as it moves. The zombie winds back and launches another overhand smash at the elf, but the warrior just blocks the attack.

The shadow warrior's blade turns insubstantial for a moment as he stabs the dwarf in front of him, Kruk feels it pass through his armor and through him. The blade leaves a lingering pain that Kruk continues to feel. You notice that the vicious wound from Kruk on the enemy begins to heal.

[sblock=Unlocked Monster Stats]

Brutus moves without shifting, triggers OA's vs ref; dmg (1d20 5=20, 1d10 5=14) hits for 14 dmg. Uses zombie smash on Raiyek - recharged last turn - vs ac; gm (1d20 10=23, 3d10 4=19) misses because of second wind... lucky

Havastav - uses disrupting strike on Kruk - vs ac; force damage (1d20 11=26, 3d8 5=17) hits for 17 force damage and ongoing 5 force damage (save ends)

[sblock=Terrain Features]
Light source is Dim Lighting so if you lack low-light vision or don't have another lightsource, enemies have concealment from you. Difficult terrain is noted on the map. The ring next to the priest is where the column of darkness is coming from. [/sblock]

Am I allowed to use parry and riptose after I've made an action attack? I'm not sure how immediate interupts work.

[sblock=Second Chance]Seems Carolina's luck has run out. Mr. X hits a 25 WILL this time, and Carolina has failed her save with a 2.

1d20+8-2=25, 1d20=2

Go me!

To expedite things, when Carolina can move next round, I rolled a 30 for her acrobatics check. You can go ahead and assume a second wind and a move to J15 as well.

Georg tosses a burst of fire close at the dark knight. It flames envelop his body and leave scorch marks. Georg moves around to surround the armored figure. True dwarves will cut you down to size, pathetic pretenders! He tries to peer into the shadows around Havastav.

[sblock=OOC]
Standard: Scorching Burst at H7 1d20+6=20 vs Havastav's Reflex for 1d6+5=11 fire damage (concealment does not affect bursts)
Move: Walk to H5 avoiding opportunity attacks (Brutus doesn't have threatening reach?)
Minor: Monster Knowledge check Arcana (shadow) 1d20+10=22, should be enough for powers on Havastav, unless they updated the Monster Knowledge DCs

Free from Kadaj's paralyzing magic, Raiyek maneuvers in behind Havastav. He leaves himself open for an attack on the way, hoping the warrior would get distracted and leave another opening for Kruk.

Once in position, Raiyek attempts to impale Havastav on his blade, enhanced by Palladys' power. "Palladys, grant us strength!" the paladin cries as he slices again at the armored man with incredible speed. The second blow is solid though the wound is shallow, and healing energies flow to Carolina, floating in the black fire.
[sblock=OOC & Tactics]Raiyek isn't still immobilized, prone, or bloodied, is he? I'm assuming you just forgot to remove those effects on the summary. If some of those do still apply I'll have to change things ;)

I'm going to delay til after Georg to avoid getting caught in his attack. If Lily and Kruk could work something out so there's still someone in H6 for me to flank with after Georg's turn, that would be appreciated. (If I stop in H5 Carolina's too far to heal with paladin's judgment.) If Lily delays until after Georg and me that would work, or if Kruk delayed until after Lily and then shifted into H6. [/sblock][sblock=Actions]Delay til after Georg.

Free: shift to H4 at start of turn.

Move: to H6 (provokes from Havastav. He's still marked by Kruk, so if he takes the OA Kruk gets an attack.)

Standard:
Piercing Smite vs. Havastav: 1d20+8+2=14 vs. Ref, 2d10+4=13 damage. Pretty sure that's a miss. Gonna burn elven accuracy to reroll.
Elven Accuracy reroll on Piercing Smite: 1d20+8+2=17 vs. Ref. Probably still a miss :(

Minor:
monster knowledge check with Religion: 1d20+6=21. Mostly to cover the bases in case Havastav/Kadaj aren't identifiable with Arcana. I'm pretty sure we all have a good idea of what the zombie does, haha.

AP: Paladin's Judgment vs Havastav: 1d20+8+2=28 vs. AC, 3d10+4=14 damage. On a hit or miss, Carolina can spend a surge. [/sblock][sblock=Raiyek stats]Raiyek Meliam - Male Elf Paladin (Palladys) 3

[sblock=Kruk]
mmediate Action

Trigger: Each immediate action—usually a power—defines its specific trigger. The one type of immediate action that every combatant can take is a readied action.

Once per Round: You can take only one immediate action per round, either an immediate interrupt or an immediate reaction. If you take an immediate action, you can’t take another one until the start of your next turn, but you can’t take an immediate action on your own turn.

So you can use your immediate reaction to react after H attacked you, but not on your turn. Make sense?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Just as an FYI, Georg hit, Kruk missed, Raiyek missed with Piercing Smite, and hit with Paladin's Judgment[/sblock]

Lily shouted and waved at the menacing figure in black plate trying to give Raiyek an opening. As soon as the paladin made his move Lily dived for cover behind a nearby bush, where she waited for just the right moment to unleash a spell.

[sblock=ooc]

Ok, I think I've got this figured out, watch me work the initiative order. :)

Delay until after Raiyek, so he gets his flank.

move: Lily shifts to E5.

standard: ready action to attack Havastav the moment Carolina takes any action, and that should put Lily back at the top of the initiative order.
Haunting Spirits: vs Will [Target Havastav] (1d20+5=19) (I didn't include any modifiers for concealment, since I'm acting after his action so his buff may be gone by then, modify as needed)
if it hits: Psychic Damage (1d6+5=6). Until the end of Lily's next turn, the target grants combat advantage to Raiyek.

[sblock=Lily's Spirit Primer (Please Read!)]
Spirit companions are complex critters, so this is to remind everyone, myself included, of the important points. The first three items are probably the most relevant to the other players.
  • Any of Lily's allies who start their turn adjacent to her spirit companion can shift 1 square as a free action, as the first action during their turn.
  • Any of Lily's allies adjacent to her spirit companion gain a +3 bonus to their damage rolls against bloodied enemies.
  • Lily's spirit companion occupies 1 square, Lily's allies may move through its space, but her enemies may not.
  • Lily's spirit companion may be targeted by melee and ranged attacks. If a single attack deals 10 or more damage to Lily's spirit companion it disappears and Lily takes 5 damage. Otherwise her spirit companion is unaffected by the attack.
  • Lily's spirit companion uses Lily's defenses.
  • Any enemy that leaves a square adjacent to Lily's spirit companion without shifting is subject its Spirit Fang attack. (This is an opportunity action and so may used once per turn, rather than once per round. Since there is no reason not to take this attack DM please feel free to roll them as necessary.)
  • Lily's spirit companion is unaffected by terrain and environmental phenomena.
