ToB query: HD and Initiator level

Of course, the problem is I'll have essentially none of the other traits, so it won't really FEEL like a werewolf...
Man what?
- Higher Str
- Claws or Bite
- Regeneration (fast healing 2)

You can decide to grow some fur if that makes you happy. Changeling is good like that.

The other issue is: Would the two claw attacks granted by Warshaper with the Changeling be remotely comparable to other weapons typically used by a warblade/crusader?
Look at the list of weapons of the Tiger Claw discipline.

One or the other though, while a werewolf has both. You have a point on the rest though. I didn't think the Changeling could take it that far.

I know claws is on the list, but I don't know if that means it's the best choice. :P

Do you want the best choice, or do you want something good enough that's compatible with your character concept?

Also: wolves don't get claw attacks, and neither do humans, so it's kinda strange that hybrid wolf/humans are supposed to get claws. I'd find it more plausible to use a hybrid form with one or two weapons + a wolf-like bite attack, thereby gaining the benefits of being a human (hands = weapon use) and being a wolf (extra bite attack).

O.o Is an extra bite attack compatible with ToB manuevers?

Also: While I am trying to avoid being a munchkin, I also am aware that one of the party members in this game is a 'no punches pulled' level 12 wizard. Or so the impression I had gotten. :P

Knowing that, I want to avoid making myself too subpar 'lest I repeat the "Angel Summoner and BMX boy!" clip...(See the thread about 'why are wizards and sorcerers so good?). So, if I seem a bit powergamey, it's the meta concern there. :P

Nope. It's there for the 1-round-in-3 when you cannot use a ToB maneuver because you're recharging them.

Don't let fear of monsters turn you into a monster yourself.

If you see him pulling out the uber-munchkin tricks, and you feel that your dude is entirely useless in combat, you come back here, and we'll tell you about the King of Smack: it's a build which uses claws, so you could tell your GM you wanted to update your PC while staying true to your concept.
