Powdered milk too. That Mythbusters was EPIC.
My dad was in the US Marine Corps and when we saw that episode of Mythbusters he proceeded to tell me how they used to use the powdered creamer packets in their MREs to help start fires.. Or rather to play with fire.

They also used to stuff the heating elements from them into water/gatorade bottles (The gatorade bottles are apparently better, because they have thicker plastic and can build up more pressure before blowing) with a bit of water and put the caps on so they'd explode.

Game theory is also directly responsible for MAD and the arms race. So thanks?
becuase my brain likes to play association games this is from spy game (cool movie with robert redford and brad pit)

Tom Bishop: Ah, Jesus Christ, you just... You don't just trade these people like they're baseball cards! It's not a naughty word game!
Nathan Muir: Oh, yes it is. It's exactly what it is. And it's no kid's game either. This is a whole other game. And it's serious and it's dangerous. And it's not one you want to lose.

i learned this yesterday

I used to be a bartender, and I had a regular who liked to carry $2 bills to tip with. He told me that he used to have a friend who worked at a print shop and he'd have them bound like a tear-away notepad for the lolz.

I always found it amusing, and just took his word for it, and now here I am wondering if he just heard about the Woz doing it and stole the anecdote from him

JET FUEL DOESN'T BURN THAT HOT!!!😡
😛🤣
Today I learned that the Ramjet Engine can safely combust at temperatures of 2400K (2130°C). That's why they're made out of tungsten and/or molybdenum alloys instead of just any old steel.

Today I also learned that there is a such thing as a nuclear ramjet that can theoretically run for months.

If you really want to have your brain melted, look up the Orion Propulsion System.
