Also, when other cultures are represented in media, they consult on not only accurate portrayals, but positive portrayals so that you don't end up with a racial/cultural stereotype as a villain.

Not today, but last year I learned that aparently Archimedes already knew calculus or more accurately a version of integration. He always did demonstrations to make proofs of his solutions, but never publicly revealed the sources to his solutions.
