Today is.......

...................the soon to be federally recognized National DMCal Day. Once the gubment acknowledges my petition to have October 26th (my birthday) recognized as a holiday, complete with paid days off and cake for everyone, you're all invited to my house for a game. The gubment, however, has not returned my calls. But I'm hopeful they'll get around to it. I'm sure it's just lost in the bureaucracy.

I love my bday. I sleep late, get up, schlep around the house, eat cereal and watch trash tv. Then I'll take a nap. Tonight, I may go see Curse of the Were-Rabbit with my son (if he has no homework). Tomorrow, I'll repeat the process as I'm taking the rest of the week off.

Hey, what a cowinky-dink. Tomorrow is Nat'l Thunderfoot's daughter's day...and on Saturday it's Nat'l T-foot got hitched a long time ago day. (different years for those keepin score at home)

Perhaps the entire last week of this month should be a holiday. I'm looking forward to JoeBlank day on the 29th.

Plans:

1. Coach my 7-year-old son's last baseball game of the season (until the tournament next week). If we win, we clinch 1st place and a first-round bye.

2. Then help coach my 5-year-old son's tee-ball team. If they win, they double their number of wins for the season.

3. Take the whole family to my parents to watch the Georgia-Florida game (World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party). Immediately afterwards, dad has promised to warm up a steak on the grill.

4. Drink scotch.
