Today marks the end of year one!

First Post
I started my D&D campaign on June 24th 2001. I know because I always date my campaign notes.

This really big because none of my group has ever been in a continuous campaign for this long. We've played every other week since. Fittingly, I'm running a game tonight!

Here's to year two!

Wish us luck!

One of the things that I've noticed about 3E is that it seems to promote longer campaigns than 1E and 2E. I think it's because the game doesn't stagnate so much at higher levels.

After a year of fortnightly gaming? Are your sessions only 5 minutes long or something? Or do you have TPK's every other session? That an average of about 240 XP a session.

Well we did miss a few sessions...but I don't give much XP out as a general rule and many of the the games are spent just interacting wit NPCs. The sessions are about 4 hours long.

You can earn experience interacting with PCs, you know. If they're overcoming obstacles, that is.

But if you're happy going that slow, I'm glad you're having fun.

Congrats to you!!

Our group is gaming tomorrow night and we're approaching the six month mark on our current campaign. Our first order of business will unfortunately be to discuss how we can re-establish some consistency in the scheduling of our sessions. Also, one of our players will be moving halfway across the country within two months, so we need to determine what effect his departure will have on the campaign.

Hopefully in six months time, I'll be making a post similar to yours, Darklance.
