I still have my Red Box (even the box); ought to get it out and play a game in Mr. Moldvay's honor.

I'm saddened by this (much more so than the Dragon and Dungeon news). Not only did he help produce one of the best editions of D&D around, but he also wrote some great adventures. I just started running The Lost City (B4) a couple weeks ago, and I've been thinking what a great module it is and how he packed so much into so few pages.

The news today just doesn't get any better does it. They say that it comes in threes. I hope that Dungeon and Dragon count as two because I don't know if I could take another hit today.

I've been playing D&D for 27 years or thereabouts, and have bought every edition published in that time, and I still consider Moldvay's basic set to be the best version of the game. A very sad day indeed.

Tom was a strong force in D&D back in the day, and I know I enjoyed all of his works, whether as a player or a DM.

Like a lot of you mentioned I too got my start with he boxed set.

Dragon, Dungeon, and the news of his death all in one day. I don't know if I can handle any more bad gaming news.
