Tonight's Game

High level epic play done right is one of the best experiences in gaming, at least for me.

Congratulations on a successful campaign! Seems like it would have been great even if the party hadn't succeeded, but always great to end on a high note.

Oh, it's not over quite yet.

The pcs still have a few threads to chase, a couple of enemies they need to deal with and a few epic destinies to live up to (including the custom one that the barbarian chose, "Conqueror of the World". :))

I really love reading about your game.

Thanks!

BTW, how are your players feeling about transitioning from truly Epic (and the E is correctly capitalised in this instance!) characters to level 1 characters particularly as level 1 in 5E is so much more fragile than level 1 in 4E?

I think they're all eager to finish the 4e game first, and will miss the epic experience. OTOH I think that at least a few of them really enjoy low-level play, including its fragility. We should be trying out the 5e Starter Set adventure today, so we'll see what everyone thinks. One of the players joined us mid-paragon and it was her first D&D experience, so she has almost no low-level-play experience to draw on.
