I wouldn't be surprised to see a Medium Spider in Underdark. :)

Hydra (how can they NOT make a hydra?)

Well, there's only one set that has had Huges so far - and the multiple heads have been a problem. They tried doing an Aspect of Tiamat and abandoned it for that reason. However, I think they've now solved the problem.

We've got about a year to wait, though. Look to Set 10 for the next Huge set. No, I don't know anything definite, but it's the most likely slot for it.

Rust Monster (probably a pipe dream, since it wouldn’t work in the DDM)

Yes it would. :) If it attacks a humanoid, they get -4 AC; if it is struck by a humanoid, they get -4 attack and -5 damage (minimum 5). Not that hard.

There's actually a figure with Warp Wood that removes a figure's ranged attack!

Kua-toa (a good one, darn it)

I quite agree.

Cheers!

Felon: I bet a couple of those you are asking for will be in the next set "underdark" (slaad, phaerimm).

How well is that confirmed? I'd sure like to see more than a couple :)

The tomb tapper is indeed, huge, so you'll have to wait on that. Also, in Lost Empires of Faerun, the Phaerimm now have age categories, so there is a phaerimm for sizes tiny to huge.

Thanks, I edited my post so that the tomb tapper is in the huge wish list, and replaced it with the cloaker, whose omission from the wish list a major oversight on my part to begin with.

IIRC, the initial problem was that the aspect was supposed to be large, but large wasn't big enough, so they had to ramp it up to huge.

Arrrgh. Hope they're making enough money to crank huges out more than once every other year.

Well, hell, let's petition them to do it then! A celestial half-dragon rust monster if they must.

Well you have to remember that Giants of Legends didn't sell well, in fact it sold horribly, mostly due to the poor huge figure distribution/rarity. I'd be surprised to see another D&D huge pack if the same problem happens with the up coming SWM huge pack. Getting 5 of the same figure in a case of 6 may not bug the RPGers that buy them but it really annoyed the miniature players.

There are figures to support the assertion that GoL sold horribly? Because I seem to remember some official commentary that it sold well enough to justify another set with huges.

Of course, they did make some damnably odd choices for huge figures. Loved the bulette and the behir, and the fomorian and glabrezu were nice, but the dragons were just way too petite relative to the other huges. And making a nightwalker one of the more common huges was kinda lame; a black, featureless, faceless figure is cool when it's a holy grail, but when you have 6 of'em, it just looks like somebody did a half-assed job. :) You can get a T-rex at a dollar store. And the storm and cloud giants looked wimpy.

For the next huge set, they oughta go with some choices from my list. Of course, the good guys will demand equal representation, and I don't know what to tell'em. Guess they could do a couple more huge metallic dragons.

But again, I'm genuinely curious to know how many people actually have input on the decision of what should or shouldn't go into a set.

Well, Mike Mearls is now working as a developer on the miniatures line as well as the RPG line. That's pretty hopeful.

Wow, the avolakia's popular. I want to add that if they do make an avolakia fig, then they should use the original illustration from its first appearance in Dragon, not the PoS that appeared in MMII.

And yeah, the night hag's overdue. So is the annis.

Let's see more wish lists, folks.

16. Giant Praying Mantis- again with the vermin, but perhaps the freakiest lookin' of the MM vermin...
There is a large fiendish praying mantis (I think it was in Aberrations).

I want some huge elementals - our party's druid is forever summoning the darn things.

Oh, and a beholder I can actually afford to buy ......
