How well is that confirmed? I'd sure like to see more than a couple :)

Re: Slaad, phaerimm

In the red slaad preview it was implied that more were on the way. Since there were no more that appeared in Angelfire, I'll bet there's at least one in Underdark.

Since the two-card system is debuting in Underdark, it seems to me that a phaerimm would fit both the non- and epic-play mode.

Totally a guess, though!

Just focusing on the MM, I'd like to see:

Aboleth (If there is another Huge set)
Athach
Ankheg
Chimaera
Cockatrice
Marilith
Bebilith
More Driders!!! (Uncommon at that!)
More Gnomes!!!
Gorgon
Hags
Hippogriff
Hydra (already stated, but it bear repeating)
Lamia
Nighthag
Psuedo Dragon
Purple Worm
Remorhaz
Sphinxes
Tarrasque (the ultimate Huge Rare!)
Triton

Plus, now that the game is getting more popular and the minis have reached a level of quality that most are comfortable with, it would be nice to see the occasional older fig from earlier sets that are OOP, like Harbinger, and re-style the fig for use in a new set. The Kuo-Toa jumps right out in that regard.

What I've said about the D&D miniatures all along is that they should concentrate on creatures that are specific to D&D. To that end, I'd recommend:

Roper
more (and more common) Mind Flayers (those suckers are hard to find)
more (and more common) Beholders
more (and more common) Umber Hulks
more Githyanki and Githzerai
I'll second the vote for a Rust Monster

Also, in terms of things I'd like to see just 'cause I'd like 'em...

more and better Gnomes (how about a decent Gimble?)
more and better Halflings (Not so militaristic! I want 'em hobbitish, dang it!)
more personalities (we've got Drizz't and Mordenkainen, so how about Elminster? Raistlin? Iuz the Old -- both forms?)
a black-maned barbarian who isn't named Conan due to licensing issues
a grey-clad rapier-and-dagger wielding rogue who isn't named Mouser for the same reason
I'll second the vote for a Flumph ;)
and raise you a Flail Snail! ;)

-The Gneech

Common human mooks (pirates, cultists, thugs.)
Common vermin and animals (spiders, snakes, scorpions, maybe some swarms)
More common and uncommon undead (You can't have too many zombies, skeletons, ghouls, vampire spawn, wights... A general purpose incorporeal that could fill in for wraiths and specters would be extremly helpful.)
More female minis

I'm sympathetic toward the needs of the minis game, but it is a real shame that so many of the classic outsiders, magical beasts, and aberations have been rares. I've just had to accept that I'll never have an erinyes, bone devil, vrock, otyugh, gibbering mouther, manticore, etc. in my game because I just can't afford the prices for single rares. Introducing uncommon versions of the troll and minotaur does give me a little hope. I'd like to see more movement in that direction.

A lot of the sets seem humanoid heavy to me, which I am sure makes sense for the mini game. I'd like to see a set that is a little more creature heavy for us folks using them primarily as a game aid. I too want to see more "iconic" D&D critters, or generic fantasy creatures. Including...
  • Chimera
  • Cloaker
  • Hag
  • Hydra
  • Mimic
  • Roper
  • Rust Monster
  • Satyr
As far as huge minis go...
  • Aspect of Tiamat
  • advanced otyugh
  • aboleth (no idea how this would work for mini game)
I'd also love to see some spells and items, like a floating disc, dancing sword/shield, or whatever. Once again, some way to fit them into the mini game would be required.

Hmm. So we got at least a couple of folks asking for mimics...which makes me wonder what they think the mini should look like?
