Top 5 for 2004
1. World Militaries (OK, I'm biased!)
2. U.S. Militaries
3. Dark Inheritance
4. Agency
5. Mastermind

Looking forward to:

1. Spycraft 2.0
2. WFRP 2
3. Battlegrounds
4. Dawning Star

My 5:

Libris Mortis
Beyond Countless Doorways
Monster Manual III
Tome of Horrors II
Iron Kingdoms Character Guide (I feel I worked on such a small portion of it it's okay to list here -- if not, pretend I wrote DragonMech).

Awaiting:

Black Company
Thieves' World
Codex Anathema
Slave Lords (for Grim Tales)

Hmmmm. Can't think of #5. I know there was some stuff that I wanted . . .

I'll pitch a list in - I'm not sure whether I can rank them, though. So in no particular order:

Grim Tales (Bad Axe)
Tome of Horrors II (Necromancer)
Book of Iron Might (Malhavoc)
The Psychics Handbook (Green Ronin)
Elements of Magic: Revised (EN Publishing)

Honorable Mention: Unearthed Arcana (Wotc), Legacy of the Dragons (Malhavoc)

Top 5 RPG Accessories:
Counter Collection Digital
Counter Collection Gold
Battle Box (all three by Fiery Dragon)

Okay, so I don't have 5 in that category.

Here's a list of cool newish things that I really need to check out soon, again in no particular order:

Ex Machina (GoO)
Conan (Mongoose)
Beyond Countless Doorways (Malhavoc)
Paranoia XP (Mongoose)
HARP (ICE)
Savage Worlds (by ummm... some company)
Gurps 4th (SJ Games)
Ars Magic 5th (Atlas)
The Advanced Beastiary (Green Ronin)
Exalted Player's Guide (White Wolf)
Midnight (FFG)
Arms and Armor 3.5 (Bastion)
Mutants and Masterminds (Green Ronin - I know, I'll get it sometime, I swear)
and Classic Play: Book of the Planes since so many other people mentioned it (Mongoose?)

...and for the obligatory top 5 "looking forward to" list:

Slave Lords of Cydonia (for Grim Tales, by BadAxe)
Arcana Evolved (Malhavoc)
**The Immortals Handbook** (Craig Cochrane aka Upper_Krust - I set this off with stars because I'm really looking forward to it)
Blue Rose (Green Ronin)
Tome of Horrors 3 (Necromancer - because you can never have too many good monsters, and the second one was sooooo good!)
...and maybe Monsternomicon 3.5 (Privateer Press)
Honorable Mentions: other Malhavoc and Green Ronin Advanced line stuff, and probably lots of others.

I think it's clear that I'm an addict.

in no particular order (i bought these this past year, not sure if some have been out longer than that - sorry)

1. Eberron Campaign Setting - WotC
2. Valus - Different Worlds
3. Lost City of Barakus - Necromancer Games
4. Testament - Grenn Ronin
5. Dungeon Magazie - Amazing facelift/improvement by Erik Mona

looking forward to more Dungeon mags, valus-based supps, and slavelords of cydonia.

edit: may have to add serpent kingdoms to the list - never realized it was so popular! many folks on the this thread seem to like it. also looking forward to black company.

edit #2: testament is really a great sourcebook. of the names on my top 5 list, it's the one that seems to get the least amount of press. it deserves better, imo.

later
W.P.

Say now, that's mighty nice of you!

And I'm right with you on d20 past. I want that so badly I can taste it. I've been salivating over cracking the system open and making "Modern Visions" books, so I'm hoping it's straight into the SRD for that one.
