The problem is, IMO, ENWorld's reviews section doesn't provide much "frontage" for the reviews by non-staffers. I've written 4 reviews that were quite lengthy and took no small amount of time. It's annoying to see them scroll off the "10 Most Recently Added Reviews" list and basically fall into obscurity after less than a day. I kept making the mistake of posting a review right before D20 Magazine Rack would unload a 12-pack of'em :).
Yeah, that is a problem. Putting them all on the news page would be just too much, unfortunately. There are pages devoted to "Print Review In The Last Month" and "PDF Reviews in the Last Month" - I don't know how much those pages are used, though that is the method I use for browsing reviews.

Ditto that's how I do it also that or keyword search. Is their anyway to make the "recent reviews", their offical names, pages standout more? :)

As a reviewer I have no idea that people are reading or even listening to my reviews. I think they are, but it would be neat to have like a views number on reviews or something. But that's out of my hand. I can't make people read reviews be them mine, or anyones. I just write the reviews and hope that they help out someone.

For what it's worth, if a product isn't on my must buy list, but I hear good buzz about it, the first place I come is to the ENWorld reviews section. I haven't read many of yours because I'm not a big fan of PDFs but I'm sure that people will read yours, and if there was a PDF I was interested, I'd check the staff reviewers first up.

Well, I should clarify. I figure people read mine reviews, but even as a Staff Reviewer there is nothing that tells me they do. I was just trying to make that point that one just has to assume people are reading them.

Personally, I read the new reviews before I hit the front page or the message boards. I bookmarked the page that lists the new reviews. For others I'd just suggest doing the same just to see what's new in the review section. One doesn't have to read all the reviews but just glance over what there and read any of interest.

Over the past month we've had 65 reviews; 19 pdf and 46 print. That averages out to about two a day.

Hmm - that seems as if it wouldn't crowd out the front page too much. Morrus, do you have any further thoughts?

Cheers!

# 20 (which I wrote a review on) has lost it's value with the release of 3.5. The space of a lot of creatures (giants for example) has changed. So maybe fiery dragon should relase a 3.5 counter collection.

As noted above, Dynasties & Demagogues deserves a place among the best books as well. Other books I think are great that are not represented here are:

Draconomicon - great for what it is
Crime & Punishment ( Atlas )

Ok, let's you and me write reviews of C&P, and that will at least bring the number of reviews up to three... :)

The few d20 reviews I've submitted here I have also submitted to rpg.net. I don't believe there's anything which forbids this practice. (Which, if it means the review gets mentioned twice, I don't mind!)

4. Mutants & Masterminds Green Ronin Publishing 4.91 11
6. Manual of the Planes Wizards of the Coast 4.85 13
10. Call of Cthulhu d20 Wizards of the Coast 4.75 8
13. Starfarers Handbook Fantasy Flight Games 4.70 10
16. Nyambe: African Adventures Atlas Games 4.60 5
18. Madness in Freeport Green Ronin Publishing 4.57 7

Hmm, I guess 6 out of 20 is not so bad.

For the person who was asking about M&M, yes it is that good. I will forgive WotC for all of their sins, just because the OGL let M&M be born. It's now my number on game of choice. Period. (and this come from a long-time Hero fanboy)...

The other book I would like to give special mention to is Nyambe. This book really is fantastic. Very evocative, very inspirational. I can't say enough good things about this setting.
