Touch attack critical with shocking grasp damage?

Here's another question:

Touch attacks allow for criticals (p.141). Does that mean that my 2nd level wizard could do 4d6 with his shocking grasp? Is there any way to enhance this?

Yep.

Sorry, answered the first question, but missed the second.

There's lots of things you could do to enhance your touch attacks!

Multiclass with Rogue, and get Sneak touch attacks - especially with Tumble ranks to move you around.

Take Weapon Focus in Touch spells.

Multiclass as a Fighter, take Weapon Specialization (and Greater, if you want) in Touch spells.

Take levels in Monk, and use your touch attack as part of a normal unarmed attack.

Ok, maybe not *lots*, but there's quite a few things you can do, anyway.

Enhancing it?

You could get the Improved Critical Feat for touch attacks when you reach BAB +9 at 18th level, increasing your threat range to 19-20. Anything that would increase your chance of confirming a crit helps a little.

Nothing practical, I am afraid.
