Trailblazer now available!

One thing I might have to try to experiment with will be a super-elite. Limit one per encounter. I was thinking multiply hp by 1 per two characters, and 1 action point per per two characters.

So he's really more of a penult-elite.

Example: Basically, the BBEG would be normally be a solo, but the adventurers have decided to face him in his lair. His two lieutenants, reoccuring villains up till now, would be regular elite. Everything else would be normal.

I think you can accomplish much the same thing just making them all elite-- and then make liberal use of the "Extra Action Point Cause I Say So!" feature if you need it.

Really, the main problem the Solo is trying to address is the economy of actions. If there are enough critters on Team Evil in the room, the problem is not nearly as bad.

One of the things I am considering to "freshen up" the print version is a longer essay-- just an essay-- on Lanchester's Square Law in general. I never got around to working through it for the first release because (a) it's tangential and (b) it requires diagrams to help the explanation and (c) I am really, really lazy.

I am sorely tempted to break my "never buy anything from Wulf Ratbane again because of his views" vow. I am quite intrigued by the previewed information.

Well, from what I've seen in the various threads hereabouts, this looks like a buy for me, Wulf, which is saying something, because I don't think I've bought a game book for going on two years.

Of course, I need to fix my unemployment issue first (which, woohoo!, is almost solved), and I'm hankering for a copy of Mouseguard as well, which puts a crimp in my projected discretionary funds.

But I digress. Kudos, Wulf! Kudos!

:D

Now see, if I had said something to insult you, maybe you could have got a free copy out of me, too.

Give me something to work with.

Mea culpa. I don't insult easily. It comes as part of my curse forcing me to not care terribly much about what almost all people think, say, or do.

:)

Got it!!

Don't know why, but I left for a couple of hours, just got back and gave it one more go, and it downloaded this time... Now to make my backup copy on my USB off-line hard drive..

Thanks,
