D&D 5E Transformers: Is This The Next Setting After Ravnica?

Tito brought up the possiblity of Cybertron being part of the material plane in D&D during Sage Advice and Jeremy seemed open to the possibility.

Personally, Hasbro should have released a G.I. Joe RPG a long time ago.

G.I. Joe can be played right now in W.O.I.N. (I find myself saying this about more and more campaign settings lately).

I could see them come out with a Forgotten Realms version of Monopoly first.

They need to think bigger. Monopoly: The Blood War. You select from Asmodeus, Zaphkiel, Primus, one of the demon princes, etc The squares represent various planes of existence.

I know this is a joke thread, but, honestly, I would actually be super psyched for this. There was actually a 3e 3rd party splatbook called "Mechamorphosis" which was literally all about using D&D 3.5 to run Transformers games (well, transformers with the serial numbers filed off, but everybody could see it).

An official Transformers RPG would be a damn awesome idea and I'd buy it without hesitation if WotC put it out.

I’ve been rereading the IDW run of Transformers of late (as the continuity-closing Unicron begins) and part of me is now half-pondering this question. I still think that the Palladium system (with its unbalanced system, robotic strength, Robotech-derived system, supernatural system for the Matrix and other tools etc.) is a better match, but I’m open to hearing ideas for D&D as a system for Transformers.
