Transformers or G.I. Joe?

I dug the TF cartoon, but the toys were lame. You transformed them into robots, and then MAYBE you could move their arms to do something. G.I. Joe, OTOH, was a helluva lot more fun to play with. And the comic book absolutely rocked for the first 30 issues or so.

I voted for TF because I thought G.I. Joe could be played with systems that exist today.

When I was a kid, I thought that Snake Eyes was soooo cool.

I'd rather see transformers, but Why can't we have BOTH? If we tell Hasbro we'll buy both, trust me, they'll make it.

All WotC would have to do right now is license AEG to adapt Spycraft to GI Joe - that system is perfect.

For Transformers, Mutants and Masterminds would probably be a better fit type for the "pseudo-scientific" Transformers world - Transformers using a more "mecha" approach feels wrong to me, because Transformers history has a more mystical approach, needing a more organic system to represent it to me.

Well, from my childhood only G.I. Joe was available, and that as an actual soldier (still in his Barbie-sized format).

I still remember the fiasco of coming out with the series of WWII uniforms for Joe -- when the Nazi uniform hit the shelves, it was pure disaster...

So, for my money, neither G.I. Joe nor Transformers

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are, IMO, at least as responsible for the American Ninja craze as Jean-Claude Van Damme.

And I'm happy to find out that I'm not the only young boy who had a crush on Scarlet. Although Baroness was hot too; Janeane Garofalo reminds me of her now.

Do you really think that WotC will admit that Spycraft is better for something over d20 modern?

I hadn't really thought about it but I think you hit it right on the head.... Mutants and Masterminds is such an awesome system.

If you went to any GI Joe forums you would know that it’s a pretty common occurrence.
