Transformers:the Movie trailer out

I don't see what peoplel have against Michael Bay...of all his movies listed here I like each of them. There isn't a single movie on the list that sucks.

I like them all because saying his movies suck puts him in the same category as Uwe Bole, and we know which has worse movies.

I am going to be there July 4. The fireworks I am watching that night will be the Transformers blowing stuff up, kicking butt, taking names, and hopefully succeeding in the box office.

Besides, my hopes are a little high, not because of Mr. Bay, but because of Speilburg and the influence he will have on the movie.

By the way, check out the Transformers movie site and listen to Optimus Prime speak the Top 10 fan-submitted lines.

I'm with the others who say Bay sucks.

I found the trailer to be "meh" (I've seen alien invasion movies and 'big explosions' for the past 20 years), so I'm not expecting much. But I'll definitely be seeing it, because giant robots are giant robots.

Those two statements don't relate.

Robots from an alien planet bringing their war to Earth...

An evil faction bent on destroying/subjugating humans, and a good faction dedicated to defending humans...

Robots that transform into vehicular modes as a form of disguise...

Young human allies...

Gee, sounds pretty damn similar to the original series to me.
Yep! So what if thier true forms don't look like a 80's Boxmobile. I like The new Mcfarlane look for them.

So far the only thing I don't like is that in the spec. drawing Megatron's mouth looked like a bung hole with fangs. Everything else is pure energon cubes, man. The shot of Prime transforming into robot mode in the trailer is an "Awww Hell Yeah!" moment for me.

Yeah- and what's up with that? You'd think that, you know, us living in the movie capitol of the world, they would be cheaper?
Hell, I saw Pan's Labyrinth at the Arclight last weekend, and it was $14. $14! And that's smack dab in Hollywood. Grr. That being said, I may do the same thing for "Children of Men" tomorrow - it IS an awfully nice theater...

$14?!

Wow. I thought $10 was alot. Although if the theater is worth it I would pay that price - just not very often. The movie must be a must see.

I am very excited for this movie.

Hmm... after watching the videos on the site, and remembering stuff I had read months ago saying that Soundwave was going to be a helicopter now, I think that the helicopter in the trailer was Soundwave, and the pilot was Frenzy with a holographic disguise.

Could be wrong. Probably am. But it would be cool if I'm right.

His is a name that scares me whenever I see it attached to a film. Some of his films I have thoroughly enjoyed, notably the Rock and Bad Boys. But when he goes wrong, as he went wrong in Pearl Harbour and the Island, he goes spectacularly wrong. You just never know what you're going to get.

IIRC, the helicopter with EMP is called Blackout.
