Trap Making Prestige?

The Cremator

First Post
I'm playing a character who has lived in his own castle for quite sometime, and have been somewhat lax in its protection. My DM recently told me that at sometime in the future (he implied it would be relatively soon), somebody's going to attempt to breach my defenses (which are nonexistent at this point (with the exception of guards, etc)) and try to steal my vast riches.

I'm going through and setting up traps and defenses now, but I've noticed that the DCs are somewhat lower than I'm used to encountering in dungeons. I asked my DM about this and he mentioned a prestige class that could raise the DCs of traps that you create, though of course he didn't tell me where to find it. I'm wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction to find some method of raising my trap DCs?

Also, any suggestions for cool and devious traps that anybody has would be appreciated. Mechanical traps or spell traps, I'm not picky :P

Trap Smith from Dungeonscape
That's what I thought at first too, unfortunately the Trapsmith is geared more towards avoiding traps, and the only thing that seems to allow it to boost DCs on traps is the 3rd level Booby Traps (advanced) ability, which allows you to raise the DC of the reflex save to avoid setting off an Alarm Trap booby trap. Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, this is not what I'm looking for, thanks for the input though! :)

There's a Combat Trapsmith from the Complete Scoundrel, iirc.
I just looked into that class after reading your post, unfortunately with that class they have a very limited number of traps that they can use. And from what I can read they have no way to increase the DCs, which is the main thing I'm looking for. Interesting class though.

If you haven't already killed all those clever trap makers maybe you can go and hire some to build traps for you? ;)
