Trimountaine Defenders

Regarding your illusion of ShadowGal. Perhaps it would best serve if she were seen flying around the city? She need not show up to any of the fights, she simply needs to be seen by people in the city at various times of the day. By how much distance can you control this illusion? Could you have her flying from the docks, to the zeppellin if it were, say, above City Hall? I think those sorts of highly visible but limited trips would go a long way to keep her in the City's mind.

Illusions that I create must be contained within a sphere of 5' radius, the range at which I can create them is limited only by my ability to perceive the target location.

Phineas says:

Spectacular! Then it should be no problem to present the appearance that ShadowGal is flying overhead - as long as you can see the entire path.

Could you endeavor to provide this diversion once or twice a day? Feel free to use the zeppelin at any hour of the day.

"Excellent." Sheng rises. "I will head into town then to see if there is any trouble - conventional or otherwise - and see if I have heard of any of our suspects raising their heads."

"Of course. I have nothing pressing scheduled for today. After breakfast, I shall create a few illusions over the city."

Excellent, Baron. Perhaps I could join you in the zeppelin this morning? I feel the fresh air would help improve my the balance of my mental humors.
To GM: I'm not waiting to do anything specific at this point - feel free to progress the scene.

"Oh. I was planning on using my cloak of flying to transport myself. If you feel the need to get some fresh air, perhaps you could perform an actual patrol of the city, while I'm pretending to do so. I'll be too preoccupied with the illuision to do a proper job of it."

This is the GM, not Eric...the computer wouldn't allow me to log him out....Anyway...

As the Baron starts to head out, Lucien takes him to the side.
[sblock]"You have an email from Jackson Daniels. It looks like it can wait until after your patrol. I printed it out and put it on your desk with the rest of your correspondence."

OOC: I'll put the reaction to your illusions when you describe it.

Prof.
[sblock]The patrol is pretty normal. No obvious crime is occuring. Various people point and wave to the zepplin as it goes by.[/sblock]

Sheng
[sblock] The current word on the street (before Baron's illusions start) is the ShadowGal is no longer in the city. Not everyone one believes this, but a few people are convinced about its truth. A couple of people ask you straight out if it is true or not. What is your reply?[/sblock]

Sheng's actions on the street.

When pressed directly, Sheng smiles enigmatically and replies in that patient tone of the martial arts sensei. "ShadowGal always kept her plans out of the spotlight, in the shadows where she dwells. She has not told me her mind, but I feel she will hunt her prey wherever it runs, and will make sure it cannot return where she has made safe. Do not expect her to be predictable so her enemies can plan for her. She will appear and disappear where she is needed."
(using Diplomacy and such to be reassuring)

Sheng will turn the conversation to other concerns or (when possible) positive developments in the areas that the other person is concerned about.

Anybody who calls into headquarters, or who is physically in headquarters will be informed that Professor Fosfoor has left a non-urgent message. If you access the message, here it is:

Phineas:
The zeppellin patrol has been normal - no obvious crimes are being flagrantly committed at this time. If you need my help for anything, have Adam page me - otherwise I'll be in the zeppellin thinking. I believe I've thought of a way to discern non-obvious crimes being committed. It will require a fusion of M-Theory and Aromatherapy, but if I can just reformulate the 11-dimensional Zero-Energy Matrix in a way that satisfies both the Theta-Inverse Justifier, and the Olfactory Hypothesis of Olaf Hadriksson, then ---

Adam:
He just keeps going like that for another 20 minutes.
You've heard the only part that is relevant to mortals.
If you ever have crippling insomnia, then I can play the rest of it for you.
Otherwise, enjoy your day.
