Troll Dire Werebear character.

We are starting a campaign at around 15th level. Is this a possible combination? The lycanthropy rules have slightly confused us. What would the accurate LA be? Would the "animal hit dice" alluded to in the lycanthropy write-up be counted as actual character levels? Any help out there?

"Fully-grown" Troll: 6 Giant HD, LA +5 = ECL 11
Dire Bear: 12 Animal HD = ECL 12

Troll Were Dire Bear: 6 Giant HD + 12 Animal HD + [LA +5 (Troll)] + [LA +3 (Natural Lycanthrope)] = ECL 24

He's *not* suitable for a 15th-level campaign.

The only way it'd be workable would be to have the DM work out a dire werebear class and have the troll growing into the lycanthropy.

Otherwise, like Patryn said, its WAY out. Even a human commoner dire werebear would be a bit over the top.
