Tru Calling premiere

"Tru Davies is a smart, sexy recent college graduate who finds herself working the midnight shift at the New York City morgue. One night, Tru questions reality when she thinks she hears a murder victim asking for her help. But the next morning, Tru wakes up to find that she is back at the beginning of the previous day -- twelve hours before a murder that only she knows is about to take place. With the clock ticking, she is compelled to scour the city of New York to prevent this wrongful death, while at the same time trying to make a difference in her family’s unhappy lives. "

Sounds bad.

Yeah, well, Eliza Dushku makes it worth at least checking it out...right? ;)

I watched three episodes and liked it less and less with each one. I think the episode where they were squaredancing on some alien planet was the clincher for me. There are enough rednecks up here (Calgary, just a chuckwagon ride distance from you in MH) that I don't want to see them on my sci-fi shows. It wasn't so much any particular fault of the show, but the fundamental concept of a space western. Ugh...

I'm an anti-neck activist, myself, but the western aspect of the show doesn't bother me. It's halfway original, at least...

Mmm... Two shows I loathe ("Why, yes, I am a nerd."). Well, I'll check it out. It's not like anything else that night is worth watching.
Actually, I like watching Friends, and I would have prefered that over Survivors if it wasn't for the casting of Rupert the cross-dressing Blackbeard of the Drake Tribe this season. :p

But don't you dare call me a "mainstream"!!!
