True 20 Martial Arts style feat (now with NPCs)

Vigilance

Explorer
Boxing
Prerequisite: Improved Strike
Skill Training: Intimidate +1, Sense Motive +1
Feat Training: Two of the following: Accurate Attack (+3 to attack rolls for every -2 damage, rounded down), All-Out Attack (+3 attack rolls for every -2 Defense, rounded down), Dodge Focus (+2 Dodge bonus for the first feat taken, +1 for each feat thereafter), Parry Focus (+2 Parry bonus for the first feat taken, +1 for each feat thereafter), Stunning Attack (+2 attack bonus on stunning attack rolls)
Internal/External: External

So, to clarify:

1. When you take a martial arts style, the only immediate benefit you get is the skill bonuses.
2. However you also get access to improved versions of existing combat feats, in this case any two of Accurate Attack, All-Out Attack, Dodge Focus, Parry Focus (a new feat from the book) and stunning attack.
3. Don't worry about External/Internal for now.

Thoughts?

Interesting. I think the skill benefits are a good angle --- new class skills a la Blood & Fists for d20 Modern don't work as well in True 20, with the smaller skill list.

I tried to stat up some martial arts fighters using True 20, and found that there just weren't enough feats to work with. In contrast, Blood & Fists, if anything, has TOO MANY feats, compared to the limited number of feat slots a d20 Modern character gets. But a True 20 character gets more feats.

Sooooo....you thinking Blood & Fists: True 20 edition, Chuck?

I am working on it right now. It should, barring unforseen circumstances, be my next book for RPGO.

And I think the True 20 version will have fewer maneuver feats.

Dang. I just bought the modern player's companion and Blood and Blades not too long ago. I like True20, but I held off getting it, because I love my Blood and Fists, Elements of Magic:ME and Psychic's Handbook. This may just be the little nudge needed for me to make the switch to True20.

Are there any plans to do True20 versions of Blood and Blades, Blood and Brains, Blood and Spooks, Blood and Relics, Darwins World, and Modern High?

I still need to write up my feedback for the for the B&F: HK Knights material for Blood and Fists:Master Edition.

Darwin's World final draft is done!

It needs editing and layout, which will still be a pretty big task, it's a big book.

Blood and Brains, Blades and Spooks were not mine, that's up to Mike Tresca. *I* would certainly greenlight them if he was interested, at a slow rate (we have to plan True 20 releases carefully around the 6 product per year limit- have to make sure we have some "open slots" encase a project we MUST do comes along).

Blood and Relics, yes... eventually. That and Prometheus Rising are on a short list of settings of mine that I just plain LOVE.

Modern High... I dunno... not so sure... but hey, you only got one iffy response, so rejoice!

I was actually hoping for a d20M print edition that combined all three. Now, I would love to see it done for True20.

Sweet.

Honestly, after a death in the family the day prior to the dragon news, that you are doing more True20 is the best news that I have had all week.

Thanks for that and my condolences.

As for True 20, I'd never worry about me doing more writing for that system. I freaking love those rules. So tight.

So since the true 20 rules are so tight... Any chance of you doing...I dunno... Any M&M2 Supers or Superagent Style stuff either for Superlink or for True 20?

What can i say...I am such a fanboy!
