The episode was definitely shorter than normal. While normally I wouldn't have minded, I would have liked to see some of the background stuff fleshed out a little more. For example, how Jessica went from okay to flipping out so suddenly, or a followup on Godric. In actuality though, I think where I would have ended it is with the Queen explaining Maryann more thoroughly, instead of the limp "cliffhanger" that was the ending. I think it would have been better if the Queen has just said, "Sorry, your screwed, get out and call it a lost cause." Much more impact on the rest of the story, knowing even a high-level vampire thinks it's impossible to win.
Jason Stackhouse rules, again. The combination of Jason, Sam, and Andy is hilarious and awesome. That said, Sam is seriously the stupidest person in Bon Temps. He even says that the woman was under Maryann's spell, and he goes anyway. Seriously, WTF.
The "exorcism" scene was great, especially Lafayette and Lettie Mae. I also loved what they did with Sookie's house, and the whole scene where Bill and Sookie basically get ass-kicked until Sookie pulls her stunt.
Overall, not a terrible episode, but it could have used some more depth, and the shortened episode means they definitely had time for it. Jason and Andy as the God Who Comes was hilarious.
