True Strike Disarm?

is it possible to be affected by the true strike spell and use the +20 bonus to hit in order to disarm someone?

from my understanding of the rules, making a disarm is considered a melee attack that provokes an attack of opportunity. in order to succeed, you make an opposed attack roll against the defender.

now, can the +20 bonus from true strike be applied to the opposed attack roll?

Not entirely clear, so DM's call I say. I'd probably allow it.

Since it's an opposed attack roll, the True Strike bonus (applies to your "next attack roll") should apply.

Yup. I agree with shilsen. It's an attack roll, thus the bonus applies.

Yes, this works great and can really frustrate players when a wizard does this to them.

ANy good fighter/mage takes Expertise and Improved Disarm. Your opponent does much less damage without a bastard sword

Dont Forget

If you see someone drink a potion of true strike and they do not have enough actions to hit you in the same round you can force the opposed attack roll by trying to disarm them instead of waiting for the power attack to come screaming in.

What's the Spot DC to be able to notice and read the label on a potion while it's being quaffed in full combat anyway?

i had just thought of true-strike being the one-hit wonder, i didn't realize that it could have other applications, like disarm...

any other true-strike killer combos out there?
