I bet there's a story there...
I wondered about that too.

Y'know, just googling "ENWorld" and "Jim Ward" can find out all sorts of fun stuff on all this, with stuff here, at Dragonsfoot, on Fast Forward Games website. . .

But, very short version:

1. He's bitter because Fast Forward's products got almost universally bad reviews, which he blames ENWorld for not being impartial.

2. He got a lot of harsh criticism around here after he was the first person that WotC ever enforced a breach of the OGL on (March 2003), after he used ~30 monsters from the Monster Manual II and the Greyhawk pantheon in his books, and WotC made him destroy them. It appears he's bitter because a lot of attention was drawn to the breaches by reviewers and message board posters.

For all of the flack that FFE products caught (much of it justifiably), I found at least 2 of them to be both incredibly unique and entertaining (Dungeonworld and Green Races). I sure would've liked to see those 2 products stick around :(

I haven't heard this before, but the guy who runs Noble Knight knows a lot about the hobby and tsr. I wouldn't doubt a guy who has a case of those recalled versions of B3

Recalled B3? I would like to know about this.

I met Margaret in the mid-90s when she came to Australia for a number of conventions. She's really nice and friendly.

Wizards actually has a page on this on their web site

Anyway, existing copies of it are very rare, and would often pull in prices of hundreds or thousands of dollars. And the guy who runs Noble Knight, somehow managed to get about a case (or a box) of 'em, presumably via some sort of ex-TSR person. And every year or so he auctions one off. (Supposedly he has a box, he does auction them off a lot)

There's a thread about this

Yeah, they had good ideas. I probably have at least 10-12 of their books, all bought. But they never seemed to learn from their mistakes.
