Turn Undead? Paladin(3rd)/Cleric(1st)

What is the/or an official ruling on the number of Turn Undead attempts for a multiclassed Paladin(3rd)/Cleric(1st), with a chr mod of +3?

6 would mean the number of attempts do not stack.
9 would mean the Multiclass would get Cleric base of 3 + Paladin base of 3 + Chr mod
12 would mean that the number of attempts do stack

Only the levels stack. Add the cleric levels to the (paladin levels -2) for the effective turning level. You still only get 3 + Cha turning attempts per day, without feats. So your paladin 3/cleric 1 turns undead as a 2nd level cleric and can make 6 attempts per day.
