Turning Eberron into a Barsoom-like world?

Okay, you convinced me to better abandon this 200$ idea... (200$ of Eberron books) Well, I will explore other ideas before beginning any campaign. Anyway, all your comments were useful, thanks. :) After all, all this time spent on ENworld needs to be profitable! ;) :D

I hope that you will still attempt to expand upon your ideas in some form. This is a very interesting melding of worlds (these are the sorts of threads that really get the creative juices going and are one of the many things that make this place great).

I still want a full setting in which to run Slavelords of Cydonia, and I may just wait for d20 Mars or try GURPS Planet of Adventure...

Don't get me wrong-o, I think your idea has merit, but I think you kinda went at it wrong...

Personally, I love the description I got: pseudo magic-tech world with human minorities, sentient golems, shapechangers, psionics, ray-guns, impossibly tall cities, trains, airships, longswords, and fantastical beasts. That rocks on toast. I just would finish fileing off the serial numbers (country names, deity names, etc) drop the junk (dragonmarks, D&D classes/races) and call it my OWN creation, rather than trying to cram that all into someone elses.

To use an analogy: if you love your video card but want a faster computer, its quicker to get a new computer and replace the video card than it is to buy all new components and try and cram them into your old motherboard just to keep the video card.

That said, best of luck: maybe formalize some notes and post them here.
