Turning some Frenzied Berserker abilities into feats

Darkness

Right, in search for more feats for high-level fighters, I'm stripping the Frenzied Berserker for parts. :)

That is: Supreme Cleave, Improved Power Attack, Supreme Power Attack.

What I want to know is what prerequisites are appropriate.

Basic assumptions:

I've given all of these feats a BAB prerequisite equal to the minimum BAB a Frenzied Berserker has at the level she gets the ability on (i.e, 6 + FB class level).

I've arbitrarily set the minimum Str score for Improved Power Attack to 17. (The same goes for Supreme Power Attack, but the Str score is 19.)

Just like as an FB ability, Supreme Cleave doesn't require Great Cleave. (Nor should it, IMNSHO.)

So tell me: Are these prereqs (BAB, Str score) too low? Too high?

For reference, the abilities (and my planned prereqs) look like this:

Supreme Cleave
Prerequisites: Str 13, Power Attack, Cleave, BAB +8
The character can take a 5-foot step between attacks when using the cleave or Great Cleave feat. She is still limited to one such adjustment per round, so she cannot use this ability during a round in which she has already taken a 5-foot step.

Improved Power Attack
Prerequisites: Str 17, Power Attack, BAB +11
The character gains a +3 bonus on her melee damage rolls for every -2 penalty she takes on her melee attack rolls when using the Power Attack feat (or +3 for every -1 penalty if wielding a two-handed weapon other than a double weapon). This benefit does not stack with the normal effects of Power Attack.

Supreme Power Attack
Prerequisites: Str 19, Power Attack, Improved Power Attack, BAB +16
The character gains a +2 bonus on her melee damage rolls for every -1 penalty she takes on her melee attack rolls when using the Power Attack feat (or +4 for every -1 penalty if wielding a two-handed weapon other than a double weapon). This benefit does not stack with the normal effects of Power Attack or Improved Power Attack.

Good point. I thought about whether I should increase it but got distracted by something shiny before deciding either way. :o

15 it is, then. Thanks! :)

Darkness, I'm slightly worried about the abusability of the Power Attack feats. I'd suggest stacking them per PH rather than per Frenzied Berserker: -2/+3 --> -2/+5 and -1/+2 --> -1/+3.

Edit: Oh, and I'm dropping you an email. I presume your Yahoo account is fine? I'm using my Gmail account, but you should recognize the address nonetheless. ;)

Presumably they should be available to fighters as bonus feats. Other than that they look fairly in-line with what they should be. Barbarians can't take the best one until level 18. That's a good thing.

Ok, I'll look into the numbers and see what I find out. :)

Yep, Yahoo account is fine. Just my Hotmail account is inaccessible lately (though I can still use MSN Messenger at the same address, for whatever reason).

Absolutely.

Hm. Does the part I made red refer to two-handed attacks?

I.e., do you mean:

One-handed: -1/+1 --> -2/+3 --> -2/+5
Two-handed: -1/+2 --> -1/+3 --> -1/+4 (i.e., as FB.)

Or something else?

Not quite. I should have been more specific. I mean this:

Improved Power Attack
Prerequisites: Str 17, Power Attack, BAB +11
The character gains a +3 bonus on her melee damage rolls for every -2 penalty she takes on her melee attack rolls when using the Power Attack feat (or +5 for every -2 penalty if wielding a two-handed weapon other than a double weapon). This benefit does not stack with the normal effects of Power Attack.

Supreme Power Attack
Prerequisites: Str 19, Power Attack, Improved Power Attack, BAB +16
The character gains a +2 bonus on her melee damage rolls for every -1 penalty she takes on her melee attack rolls when using the Power Attack feat (or +3 for every -1 penalty if wielding a two-handed weapon other than a double weapon). This benefit does not stack with the normal effects of Power Attack or Improved Power Attack.

That is, the absolute benefit would be the same for 1-handed weapons and 2-handed weapons: an extra +1 damage for each -2 attack for each of these feats.
