Taylar will keep his melee opponent between him and the other Faethrin, making a stride adjustment if he needs to, to use him for cover. Taylar intends to continue to hack away at the Faethrin with his sword.

Raven Elk steps back from the attack, knowing he's in trouble...again.

"If I live through this, I just need to go home and retire.", he thinks.

He raises his spear again and tries to make a worthy attack, manipulating Way Lines to make his strike true and fierce.
OOC: Mac, I don't know what I'm supposed to roll here. It seems I roll the wrong stuff lately.

OOC: Each character receives 10 DP.

Taylar will keep his melee opponent between him and the other Faethrin, making a stride adjustment if he needs to, to use him for cover. Taylar intends to continue to hack away at the Faethrin with his sword.
OOC: Rolls: 53, 97+74, 93+76
Using his small shield like a tiny moveable wall. Taylar, with his much greater mass causes his enemy to continue to pivot to his right, placing him in the line of fire of his friend. It only takes two strides to accomplish the desire and is rather simple to maintain, until he falls that is.
[sblock=Reaction Time]Taylar: 32(readiness) + 25(athletic) + 21(clarity) + 53(d100) = 131
Speed: 52(armor) - 17(strength) + 100(movement) - 131(reaction) = 4
Amiradtha: 30 + 40 + 20 + 58 = 148
Speed: 27(armor) - 15(strength) + 200(bow) - 148(reaction) = 64[/sblock]
[sblock=Physical Assault]Taylar: 32(aggression) + 25(athletic) + 21(fury) + 97(d100) + 74(luck) = 249
Amiradtha: 30(readiness) + 40(obscure) + 20(analysis) + 86(d100) = 176
Damage: 249 - 176 = 73% * 20 = 15 - 6(deflect) = 9
Body: 10 - 1 - 9 = 0, incapacitated[/sblock]
Taylar bullies his foe into backpedalling, sticking him hard in the ribs with the harnin shortsword. The blow is severe enough to incapacitate the Faethrin. Unfortunately, when he drops away, the second Faethrin fires an arrow.
[sblock=Projectile Assault]Amiradtha: 30(launch) + 40(athletic) + 20(clarity) + 100(range) + 79(d100) = 269
Taylar: 25(obscure) + 21(analysis) + 93(d100) + 76(luck) + 20(shield) = 235
Damage: 269 - 235 = 34% * 8 = 3 - 2(tunic) = 1
Tunic = 54 - 2 = 52
Body: 10 - 1 = 9, hurt[/sblock]
Sliding by his small wooden shield, the arrow just manages to cut through Taylar's wool tunic, biting into his flesh. After firing his second arrow, the Faethrin appears to be preparing to retreat.

Maka intends to fire on one of the two Amiradthae that are on Raven Elk.
OOC: Base Roll: 88
All things being about equal between opposing archers, Maka is slightly more encumbered than his enemy and slightly less adept with his bow; therefore, he is slightly slower on the release, but all arrows are in the air, nonetheless.
[sblock=Projectile Assault]Maka: 16(readiness) + 30(athletic) + 22(clarity) + 88(d100) + 50(short range) = 206
Amiradthae: 30 + 40 + 20 + 55 + 50(short) = 195 (x2)[/sblock]
[sblock=Projectile Avoidance]Maka: 30(obscure) + 19(analysis) + 88(d100) = 137
Damage: 195 - 137 = 58% * 8 = 5 - 7(deflect) = 0 (x2)
Tunic = 60 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 7 = 32

Amiradtha: Body: 10 - 9 = 1, injured[/sblock]
The previously injured foes, nearly incapacitated, begins dragging his body toward the cover at the edge of the road. The other fires another arrow into Maka's tunic. Maka can see that his tunic has been severely damaged, but it is still saving his body from harm. The enemy of Raven that Maka shoots, returns fire at Maka.

OOC: Mac, I don't know what I'm supposed to roll here. It seems I roll the wrong stuff lately.
GM: All mechanics are % based. Any % rolls you provide, I will use appropriately. It is not necessary to learn the mechanics, though it will likely to happen with time.

Raven Elk... raises his spear again and tries to make a worthy attack, manipulating Way Lines to make his strike true and fierce.
GM: HINT: I am going to alter Raven Elk's intended attack to help save him and demonstrate what more is available.

Raven Elk holds his spear like a shield across his body. At the same instant, he sees that another one of his friends has come to his aid, for an arrow sprouts in his enemy's chest drawing his attention away. He can see that the first, felled by Adi, is still breathing and reaches over to touch him, drawing upon Mystic Way lines as he does hoping to leach the Faethrin's life away.
[sblock=Mystic Assault]Raven Elk: 20(bending) + 24(leach) + 50(d100) = 94
Amiradtha: 20(fury) + 50(d100) = 70
Damage: 94 - 70 = 24% * 10 = 2
Body: 0 - 2 = - 2, unconscious

Body: 2 + 2 = 4, hurt[/sblock]
[sblock=Projectile Assault]Amiradtha: 40 + 20 + 55 = 115
Damage: 206 - 115 = 91% * 10 = 9 - 6(deflect) = 3
Body = 10 - 3 = 7, hurt[/sblock]
Raven Elk finds that his circumstances have changed dramatically in the span of about 2 seconds. Both of his opponents are now hurt, and though he is still hurt also, he is in much better shape than before.

From his hidden location in front of the main party's location, Vittero fires a second time at an unsuspecting enemy. The arrow bores through the Faethrin's chest causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground. No opponent remains aware of Vittero.

Adi seeing that Raven Elk is in much better shape, launches a second javelin at a new opponent, which he is able to do much more quickly than the enemy can draw and fire an arrow. The javelin stick deeply into one of the archer's thighs causing him to shank his shot. The other enemy fires another arrow at Adisakti, causing more harm.

Realizing that they are slightly outmatched, the Amiradthae begin a strategic retreat.

OOC: It had been determined that everyone can acquire a tunic or some such piece of armor from the single bear hide. This will be handled when the party returns.

Maka fires one last arrow at the retreating Amiradthae, assuming they have not managed to hide or run too far. He wants to show them that, not only are he and his friends deadly opponents, but ruthless as well. ~To show weakness is to invite ambush at a later time.~

Taylar screams, "Du magst also zulfallige Gewalt!" as the Faethrin flee. He will keep under cover of the trees in case they fire any arrows in retribution.

Maka fires off an incredibly lucky shot at one of the departing enemies. The arrow punches through the torso from back to front, obviously hitting vital things, for the Amiradtha pitches forward and continues to bleed out.

[sblock=Projectile Assault]Raven: 19(readiness) + 17(athletic) + 24(clarity) + 98(d100) = 158 + 50(range) = 208

Damage: 208 - 179 = 29% * 20 = 6 - 6 = 0[/sblock]
Bolstered by the return of some of his lost function, Raven Elk takes aim at one of the departing enemies. The injured Amiradtha had just regained his feet and turned to the woods when the spear strikes him. Unfortunately, it is a glancing blow that does not penetrate the foe's garment, and he continues to retreat.

As the functional Amiradthae flee, the crew takes note of the situation. Taylar, Raven Elk, and Adisakti have sustained some injury. There are seven fallen foes. Four are dying. Three may recover, but are currently unconscious. Whether male or female, each is clothed in a tunic and boots made of sheephide. Each carries a simple bow, ocrin arrows, and an ocrin knife.

Vittero reveals himself and approaches the crew. "Does anyone need assistance?"

Adi takes the offer of assistance and asks, "What do we want to do with them?"

OOC: It had been determined that everyone can acquire a tunic or some such piece of armor from the single bear hide. This will be handled when the party returns.

Taylar will heal and accept healing as fits the need. He will help search the fallen Amiradthae. As for the ones still clinging to life he says, "A quick sharp blow to the back of the head would be the most merciful way."

Maka says, flatly, "When we kill an animal, we use the whole thing. The meat becomes food, the bones become tools, and the skin becomes clothing. Therefore, we should make use of our enemies as well. I don't mean butcher them like an animal; but if they are clinging to life, we should use The Way, to leech out their essence and heal our wounds, which will also put them out of their misery as well. We should not waste the gift of their remaining essence, especially since 3 of the 5 of us are injured."
