TV Series on DVD - favorites?

I own the Simpsons seasons 1-3 on DVD, and plan on getting season 4 as soon as it comes out.

I also own all of the Family Guy episodes on DVD.

Band of Brothers.

I'm also considering buying Beavis & Butt-Head on DVD.

What I've got that I'd recommend:

Simpsons 1-3
The Prisoner (great set!)
Mr. Show

As of tomorrow, I'll have Season 1 of Curb Yr Enthusiasm, too.

I have seasons 1-3 of the Simpsons and while I am glad I have them I do not watch them repeatedly like I do some of the others. same with Futurama. I do think the Simpsons gets better as time goes on and so am anticipating seasons 4+. But we also get 2-3 reruns of the Simpsons per day on TV and so I catch it a few times a week that way.

Babylon 5. I currently have seasons 1 - 3 and I'm going to be picking up season 4 soon.

Battlestar Galactica. I really enjoyed the miniseries on scifi and I hope it goes to series, but I still have a fondness for the original, despite its campiness.

Monty Python's Flying Circus. I only have seasons 1 & 2 right now.

I wouldn't mind having seasons 3 - 5 of Star Trek TNG, but its not that high on my want list right now.

Fawlty Towers
Blackadder
24 (the only way to watch it is on DVD)
The Sopranos
Father Ted

That's about all the boxed sets I've got. I tend to buy films more than TV series.

Eric, I've told you before: buy Fawlty Towers! You have my guarantee that you will like it! :)

I'd pick up Farscape as well but I think their current price is a rip off.

No question about it -- Firefly. I was watching "The Making of Firefly" over the weekend, one of the extras on the set. Ron Glass, the crazyhaired old man who played the preacher, stood out as the most interesting actor, a statesmanly figure with sort of the same air about him as Ian McKellan, only with an explosive laugh.

"I really look forward," he said at some point, "to the day when I can look back on my Firefly experience without getting weepy." And then he laughed his crazy bellow of a laugh, and then he quieted down and his eyes misted over. "I really do."

Watching the show, you can tell. The cast, the director, poured their hearts into it. It's amazing stuff.
