GreyLord
Legend
Hmm, sounds like I need to watch Travelers as several in this thread have mentioned it. I've seen the first two episodes, but never really got beyond that.
One that I thought had a great ending, though I've only seen it once, was the series finale of the Big Bang Theory. It probably should have ended near season 8 or 9, but the finale was a great way to end it.
Not a series finale in that it was the finale of the series itself, but as the finale of the entire series of TV shows and movies for the Original Crew, Star Trek the Undiscovered Country was a great way to end it all.
Farscape had a terrible ending, but the TV movie was a great way to end the series as well as a series finale.
It depends on what you see as a series finale. The original Doctor Who run had a decent final episode ending for the 7th doctor...at least in my opinion.
Some that I thought had terrible endings...
Highlander...didn't really resolve things...and the movie afterwards...
What should have happened is they lined it up with the first movie so that Conner was ultimately the winner of the tournament and Duncan had some sort of epic death. Instead, they just made yet another universe for the Highlander franchise, adding onto all the other ones they'd already screwed up with. Adding in the Source made it even worse.
Scrubs could have had a good series finale if they had just finished it one season earlier...but no...they had to continue onward...
Battlestar Galactica (the new series)...controversial take...but WTH was that!!! We get into angels, divine leading, and a whole lot of other schlock...maybe I'm just not into a religious philosophy ideal sort of person...but...yeah. I don't get why people love this series so much...that ending is akin to what people think of the GoT ending...at least for me. I don't see why people adore it. That was a weak ending. Sure, we had questions answered...in the worse possible way with the worst possible answer...
I guess I'm not much into that religious philosophy mumbo jumbo...or maybe it's just not my type of thing.
