Two haste weapons

Btw: To get around Hyps worries about fighting with one weapon of speed and a "slow" weapon... TWF dudes get extra attacks in haste for each weapon they wield (up to HD or level/3 for multiarmed creatures).

Well, sure, if Haste worked something like that, I'd have no problem with multiple Speed weapons stacking.

But with Haste as written, I can't agree that multiple Speed abilities allow multiple extra attacks.

Sure, multiple speeds don't work except for the little pills... oops, did I say that?

Well, do you see any worries about that Haste houserule? My "play"testing didn't show problems so far but my group is not that typical... And IMHO any TWF boosting houserule does not unbalance the game too fast...

Balance of house rules is for the individual DM to decide.
That's it. From now on, the gawd of fairness, impartiality, neutrality and justice in my homebrew will be a small blue-skinned dude with white cap and wings. :D

underpowered? yes. Never used? not even close.

People play the game to have fun, and having a character that can do interesting things that arent always incredibly effective can still be fun.

And you can still take Improved Critical and wield a keen weapon with it, if your real purpose is "to have fun".

I have had characters who used the two together, sure I wasnt as great in combat as I could have been, but it was a lot of fun.

And you can still use the two together, and still not be as great in combat as you could have been, and still "have fun".

Why take out options that were balanced (although a little weak)?

Defensive planning, to stop munchkins getting out of hand.

Not, of course, that these would have ever existed, since their sole purpose was "to have fun".

There is no point to that besides change for the sake of change, or some useless idiocy. Possibly both.

Sure, sure. That's why you're complaining that you can no longer "have fun".

Some people even took *gasp* skill focus to further their character.

It's fascinating how one change provokes all the complaints, but the other doesn't, isn't it?

Now I know this is shocking, but it has happened! (but of course I've always made it +3 anyway, still not incredible, but useful for the character concept)

A character concept will work entirely fine with Skill Focus at +1, +2, +3 or +4,692. Your slip is showing.

Any chance of you ever saying anything useful hong?

It was balanced fine, in fact it was a little underpowered but that can be overlooked.

It was changed because someone is an idiot or cant do math.

Simple as that.

If you disagree then prove the opposite, that it was overpowered and broken and needed to be fixed.

Well, actually it is quite scary if you can crit with a scimitar on 12-20 (or even more if you take into account some PrC's). Make that a keen vorpal scimitar, and all's set. (Of course, you'd have to find a DM who actually plays vorpal as described in the 3.0 DMG).

Tch.

It was balanced fine, in fact it was a little underpowered but that can be overlooked.

And if you were willing to use it if it was underpowered before, you can certainly still use it if it's underpowered now. So cease whinging.

Yes, that's what they all say.

Simple as that.

It is very simple, indeed.

If you disagree then prove the opposite, that it was overpowered and broken and needed to be fixed.

I thought you were only here to "have fun"?
