Agreed. That PC posted above has great stats, but NOT in the attributes that matter. Str 19 is pretty lame for that level, even if that maul looks pretty expensive. AC 27 on the other hand looks good, that might keep him alive a bit against these monks. A bit. Have that wizard cast two Icewalls and the party will at least have 50% casualties.
One point: The monks will most likely be point buy 28 or something similar... that's awfully weak for monks. Still, the abovementioned grapplermonk/stunmonk/assassin is deadly (which means: 1 dead PC per round. At least). And that's assuming that the PCs did not yet use half of their spells and healing for the day.
Buff spells: Enlarge Person for both monks... that boost to damage is great.
I'd still turn the 2nd monk into an ascetic rogue for extra sneak attack damage AND mostly higher stunning fist DC. With Ability Focus these stunning fists will ask for DCs in the middle 20s. Add in this CW feats and she will stun one PC per round, rip him to pieces with sneak attacks and the assassin will skewer the rest. While the grappler will pin three or four other party members... don't forget his reach if he's enlarged and this maul won't help the PC in a grapple.
I repeat: If the party does not have one or two anti-grapple specialists or can avoid melee, they are dead meat.
So what stat generation method for the NPCs? Point buy 28 or 32?
