D&D 5E Two New D&D Books Revealed: Feywild & Strixhaven Mage School

Amazon has revealed the next two D&D hardcovers! The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is a feywild adventure due in September, and Curriculum of Chaos is a Magic: the Gathering setting of Strixhaven, which looks like a Harry Potter-esque mage school, set for November.

The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is D&D's next big adventure storyline that brings the wicked whimsy of the Feywild to fifth edition for the first time.

The recent Unearthed Arcana, Folk of the Feywild, contained the fairy, hobgoblin of the Feywild, owlfolk, and rabbitfolk. UA is usually a good preview of what's in upcoming D&D books.

Curriculum of Chaos is an upcoming D&D release set in the Magic: The Gathering world of Strixhaven -- a brand new MtG set only just launched.

Strixhaven is a school of mages on the plane of Arcavios, an elite university with five rival colleges founded by dragons: Silverquill (eloquence), Prismari (elemental arts), Witherbloom (life and death), Lorehold (archaeomancy), and Quandrix (numeromancy). You can read more about the M:tG set here.

You will be able to tune into WotC's streamed event D&D Live on July 16 and 17 for details on both, including new character options, monsters, mechanics, story hooks, and more!

Gaming is fun, and fun is for everyone
How much of this has turned out true? I think you nailed this.

Aw thanks! Credit @Parmandur a little though, I remember saying one of the dudes on the cover looked like a Fomorian, but he is indeed one of the Shadar-Kai.

Point one, three and four are all confirmed true, although we haven't really heard details about other Domains of Delight. I haven't heard anything else about the Hourglass Coven either, though Granny Nightshade may be a member.

You were.right that Mister Witch and Mister Light are pretty odd for D&D Elves in general, and Shadar-Kai specifically.

Running a carnival is a pretty odd activity for emo elves. But they usually wear masks, and a Change Self spell is a kind of mask, so they can probably look however they like.
My guess is that they're also making a conscious decision with whichever one is the heavier one (one of the videos named which one wears the clown outfit, but I don't recall which one is which) to make him not look like a standard elf, to help expand the boundaries of how we view that race. I don't know that D&D benefits from every elf in every world having a 15 BMI or less and that's the kind of change that would be in keeping with WotC's other changes to racial lore of late.

They swapped carnivals remember? It's possible that they were emo looking and stuff with their Domain of Dread carnival but then after swapping it out, their appearance suddenly was affected by the nature of the Feywild that is infused within this mobile Domain of Delight.
