Two Weapon Fighting

F- TWF is MAD (yeah, you need a high Dex as a prerequisite, not your ranger's usually highest attribute if you go the TWF way)
Yes, but rangers get TWF as bonus feats without having to meet the prerequisites, so for rangers TWF is not MAD.

I must say, the ranger's light armour, no shield, not exceptional hitpoints and multiple attribute dependency really lend him to being an archer rather than a two-weapon fighter. I'd seriously recommend primarily being an archer, but carrying a greatsword in case you need to fight hand-to-hand for some reason.

You might find he's better off using just fists, because you can Power Attack with your fists, whereas you can't with daggers.

Unarmed attacks yes, fists...where's the rules on using fists? What's a fist? Is that in the glossary? ;)

Mostly agree, but I'd give him a glaive or some other reach weapon in preference. Armor spikes will serve if he's forced into close combat, the reach weapon is great if he's not forced.

"Archer" dude could be:
1/ Ranger1 - Power Attack, Cleave
2/ Ranger2 - [Rapid Shot]
3/ Ranger3 - Point Blank Shot
...
6/ Ranger6 - Precise Shot, [Manyshot]

No, but the Improved Weapon Familiarity feat (Complete Warrior) will let you treat lightblades, thinblades, and courtblades as martial weapons if you're an elf.

Non-elves would need to take a separate EWP feat for each.

I heave heard that in a book or something says that dms can allow players to use racial weapons without the need to take the feat... Anyway sometimes the dms allow it, sometimes not.. :D

You could always try a spiked shield as a 2ndary weapon. Use it for AC when needed otherwise bash with it. And you could go Improved Shield Bash if appropriate.

I think that ruling is for the PHB racial weapons, not those from other books.

I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :uhoh:

CW suggest allowing races with weapon familiarity to swap for other racial weapons. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.
