I will no longer reply on this topic as it seems you can't handle a slightly heated conversation like a mature person.

Yes but remember the name of the game is Dungeon's and Dragon's. Dragon's are the ultimate beasts here, outshined by nothing, not even the heroes. Which is why when a group of adventurers kills a dragon it is a big thing. Dragon's are extremely intelligent, they know the area they live in and what it's inhabitants are like and capable of. It seems like first of all this dragon was just way too easy to pick off. No offense it's just that it irks me when dragons seem too easy to kill and this one deffinately seemed like it, especially if the dragon was faced in it's lair. I'm not saying they should be impossible to kill, they should just be damn near impossible to kill.

The dragon was by no means a pushover. Hong missed completely in the first round due to the dragon having AC 55. Unfortunately a Greater Dispelling knocked the AC down to 38 in the first round (Black dragons aren't that great at spellcasting, so the spellcasters didn't have that much trouble dispelling stuff).
Back to the original topic: Hong's archer character is quite effective. Not having to close to melee makes a big difference to the survivability of archers (the melee fighters took a bucketload of damage in the battle with the dragon).

Well, d'oh! A mature person would not have entered into a heated conversation in the first place.

My DM is stingy with magic items, so picking up a use-activated (attack) item of true strike is outta the question regardless of the cost. A feat is much easier in that regards.
